Serena Jameka Ross Evelyn Williams was born in Michigan, USA, on September 26, 1981. She is the daughter of Richard Williams and Oracene Price. Her older sister, Venus Williams, is also a professional tennis player.
Serena Williams started her career in 1995, at the age of 14. She is considered one of the best tennis players, and is one of the only ones to have all the Grand Slam titles in the women’s league, and is also the one who has accumulated the most Prize Money throughout her career (US $92,543,816).
She is characterized by being an offensive baseline player and tries to dominate matches with her powerful serve and counter-attack from the beginning. Her serve is considered one of the best in women’s tennis.

In Grand Slam, she has twice won four in a row (Roland-Garros 2002, Wimbledon 2002, US Open 2002, and Australian Open 2003) and (US Open 2014, Australian Open 2015, Roland-Garros 2015, and Wimbledon 2015) and called this great event “Serena Slam”.
In 2002 she reached 1st place in the world rankings for the first time and stayed in this place for 290 weeks. She is the third tennis player in history to stay longer at the top of the rankings.
She also won 4 gold medals: 3 in the 2000, 2008, and 2012 Olympics and, also in 2012, 1 in the London Olympics.
In 2015, with the victory in the Wimbledon Tournament, she became the oldest champion of the four Grand Slams in the Professional Era. Wimbledon, at 33 years and 289 days, Australian Open, at 33 years and 127 days; Roland-Garros, at 33 years and 251 days; and US Open, at 32 years and 330 days.
Besides these awards and victories, she also won five WTA Finals singles titles.
After 27 years of an extraordinary tennis career, Serena announced that this US Open would mark the end of her career as a tennis player. And so it was, on September 2, 2022, Ajla Tomjanovic beat Serena at the Us Open and her journey comes to an end.
In her professional career, she was also an actress in shows, series, and movies such as “Law & Order”, “ER”, “My Wife and Kids” and “Pixels”, cover in “ESPN The Body Issue” magazine, and has a jewelry brand “Serena Williams Jewelry”.
In 2017 her first daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, was born and after 2 months she married her daughter’s father and co-founder of the Reddit platform, Alexis Ohanian.
