The “Fundação Madre Sacramento” (FMS) is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS) and “Lar Jorbalán” is one of FMS’s social works, operating since 2004 as an Integration Community.

The mission of “Lar Jorbalán” is to temporarily shelter young women and their children in situations of social vulnerability, providing them with a safe family environment and well-being by accompanying them in their process of autonomy and personal appreciation, developing skills for the construction and achievement of a consistent Life Project, with the purpose of their social (re)integration.
Most users are young women who are very vulnerable and fragile, with issues associated, with life stories marked by situations of violence and social exclusion, revealing low self-esteem and low personal valorization.
Commitment: dedication and discipline in the realization and achievement of different objectives, seeking to continuously improve personal, social, and professional skills.
Respect: for the dignity of the person in their individuality.

Love: based on the pedagogy of “offering” and not “imposing” and of wanting to do well by the other.
